BLS (Basic Life Support for
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED on adults and children, and relief of FBAO in responsive and nonresponsive victims. The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for both in and out of hospital. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose.
(Heartsaver CPR AED)
The Heartsaver AED course covers adult, child & infant CPR with choking and use of the AED for the adult and child and is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including: security guards, airline personnel, police, firefighters, personal trainers.
It is also appropriate for lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, and family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
The ACLS Provider Course is designed to teach providers the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult VF/VT arrest. Students are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: respiratory emergency, 4 types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA, and asystole), 4 types of prearrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia, and acute coronary syndromes), and stroke.
*Current BLS card is required to take this course.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced
The PALS Provider Course teaches students how to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, to provide strategies for preventing cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children, and to teach students how to perform the cognitive and psychomotor skills for resuscitating and stabilizing infants and children in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest. Skills in bag-mask ventilation, management of airway, defibrillation and cardioversion, use of AEDs for children older than 1 year, and rhythm management are emphasized.
ACLS Classroom Course & BLS Online Combo
Need BLS and ACLS Certification?
This combination of courses is for those who need certification in both ACLS and BLS. After registration, you will receive a key code for the online BLS portion which is taken on the American Heart Association website. Upon completion, come in to the Training Center with your BLS completion certificate and take the ACLS course at which time you will be tested on your BLS skills and you will leave with both certification cards on the same day!
ECG and Pharmacology
(Electrocardiogram and Pharmacology)
This classroom-based, facilitator-led course is designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills. We recommend this as a pre-course option for ACLS students and other healthcare providers. This course is especially useful for students who plan to take ACLS but are weak in ECG recognition.
Instruction in insertion of traditional over the needle cannula peripheral aka “short” intravenous catheters. Instruction includes the insertion procedure, techniques for proper and successful catheter insertions, and care, assessment, and maintenance post catheter insertion. You will receive a completion certificate at end of the class.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that teaches students to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Great for child care workers, teachers, camp counselors, coaches, and anyone responsible for children.

BLS (Basic Life Support for
This includes a series of modules (Part 1) that cover all required material in the Healthcare Provider Course. Participants complete the HCP exam online. Those who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate, and can take a skills validation test with an AHA instructor (and earn a course completion card).
HSAED Part 1
(Heartsaver CPR AED)
Here's a flexible, time-saving option for workplaces that need to provide safety training. Delivered in three parts, this course covers adult/child CPR with mask, adult/child choking, and adult/child AED, and offers optional modules in infant CPR and choking. Part 1 delivers the cognitive learning through Web-based, self-paced modules that help students gain comfort performing the skills they will need for Parts 2 and 3.
PALS HeartCode Online
(Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
The official PALS eLearning program from the American Heart Association. HeartCode PALS completes the American Heart Association’s HeartCode portfolio, offering healthcare providers a self-directed learning option that delivers training needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.
HS AED/FA Online
(Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid)
This web-based e-learning product, the Heartsaver First Aid w/CPR & AED renewal course, provides the cognitive portion of the course online. There are two parts. Part 1 includes a series of modules that cover all required sequences for an American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED course. Participants also need to complete questions. Once part one is successfully accomplished, a certificate is received allowing them to take a skills test with a local AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. Part 2 is the hands on skills session with the instructor. When both parts are finished, a course completion card is issued to the student.
(Heartsaver First Aid)
This online learning program provides an alternative to classroom first aid training in two parts. Part one focuses on a series of modules that cover all of the required sequences for the AHA First Aid course. Part two is hands-on skills practice. Participants who complete part one can receive a certificate that is a prerequisite for taking a supervised skills test with a local AHA-certified instructor. Successful completion of both parts of this program and the supervised skills test will earn a course completion card.
ACLS HeartCode Online
(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Through interactive case-based micro-simulation technology, this course teaches:
- Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions that may result in cardiac arrest or complicated resuscitation outcomes
- Management of cardiac arrest until return of spontaneous circulation, termination of resuscitation, or transfer of care
- Recognition of life threatening clinical situations such as stroke Identification and treatment of ischemic chest pain and expedition of the care of patients with acute coronary syndromes
- Effective communication as a member or leader of a resuscitation team and how to recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance
- Basic life support care, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating an AED CME/CE/CEH credits offered for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists and EMTs/paramedics
