Adult Child and Infant CPR/AED
 
Course Discription:
The Heartsaver Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED course is directed toward lay responders who are expected to respond with an automated external defibrillator. Skills covered are; adult, child and infant CPR skills, use of a pocket face mask, foreign body airway obstruction, and the use of the automated external defibrillator for adults and children. Upon completion Students receive an American Heart Association certification completion card valid for 2 years. This course meets the requirements for training outlined under the New York State Public Access to Defibrillation Law. Course length is approximately 4 to 6 hours.

Child and Infant CPR

Skills covered are; child and infant CPR skills, use of a pocket face mask, foreign body airway obstruction, and the use of the automated external defibrillator for children. Upon completion Students receive an American Heart Association certification completion card valid for 2 years. Course length is approximately 3 ½ to 4 hours.

Adult First Aid
 
Course Discription:
The Heartsaver Adult First Aid course teaches lay rescuers how to manage illness and injury emergencies for adults in the first few minutes until EMS rescuers arrive . Topics covered are; foreign body airway obstruction, medical emergences, injury emergencies and general principles. Upon completion Students receive an American Heart Association certification completion card valid for 2 years. Course length is approximately 4 ½ to 6 hours with optional CPR component.

Pediatric First Aid
 
Course Discription:
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course teaches lay rescuers how to manage illness and injury emergencies for children in the first few minutes until EMS rescuers arrive . Topics covered are; foreign body airway obstruction, medical emergences, prevention, car seat safety, injury emergencies and general principles. Upon completion Students receive an American Heart Association certification completion card valid for 2 years. Course length is approximately 6 to 8 hours with optional CPR component.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
