If a cardiac arrest happened to your loved one or a close friend, would you
know how to perform life-saving CPR, which can double a victim's chance of survival? Surprisingly, the vast majority of
Americans don't. The American Heart Association has developed online courses, as well as self-paced kits to help non-healthcare
providers learn more about first aid and CPR. See if one of the programs below is right for you!
|

This online learning program provides an alternative
to classroom first aid training in two parts. Part one focuses on a series of modules that cover all of the required sequences
for the AHA First Aid course. Part two is hands-on skills practice. Participants who complete part one can receive a
certificate that is a prerequisite for taking a supervised skills test with a local AHA-certified instructor. Successful
completion of both parts of this program and the supervised skills test will earn a course completion card.

This web-based e-learning product, the Heartsaver First Aid w/CPR & AED renewal course, provides the
cognitive portion of the course online. There are two parts. Part 1 includes a series of modules that cover all required sequences
for an American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED course. Participants also need to complete
questions. Once part one is successfully accomplished, a certificate is received allowing them to take a skills test with
a local AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. Part 2 is the hands on skills session with the instructor. When both parts are finished,
a course completion card is issued to the student.
